Brexit has hit Scottish farmers hard

Farmers work long hours for modest financial returns. The Tory Australian trade deal will flood our markets with cheap, low-welfare-standards produce. It’s another bitter blow for farmers already having to cope with post-Brexit labour shortages and a mountain of extra Brexit red tape. Today in the House of Commons, I stood up for farmers in Ochil and South Perthshire – and those all across Scotland – and thanked them for what they do.
